About Us
The Southwest Harbor Police Department is staffed by Chief John Hall, Lieutenant Franklin Burke, two full-time police officers and one reserve officer. As well as four full-time dispatchers and, part-time dispatchers. We provide 24/7 services to the town of Southwest Harbor, a safer, friendlier place to live and work. The town has a year-round working harbor, access to Acadia National Park, Scenic coast line, A U.S. Coast Guard Station, shops, galleries and unique eateries.  Many people choose to stay here on the quiet side while visiting Acadia National Park. Access to the offshore islands by boat & boat taxi service are available. The year round population is 1,764 and the Town encompasses 8,884 acres.
